Mary Catherine (Mulholland) Schejbal, 82, of McKinney, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2020 with her daughter by her side.

She was born to the late James and Phyllis Mulholland, Sr. in 1937 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was also sister to Phyllis Hilgeman of Missouri, the late Joan Smith of Colorado and the late James Mulholland, Jr. of Missouri. Mary graduated from Xavier High School in 1955.

She married the late John Schejbal, Jr. in 1958 in St. Louis, Missouri where they lived for several years before relocating to Michigan where they lived for over 30 years. Mary is survived by her four children; John Schejbal of Missouri, Ellen (Ed) Allam of Texas, Ann Schejbal of Michigan and Teresa Schejbal of Michigan. She is also survived by four grandchildren; Willy Schejbal of Missouri, Alexandra Lund of Michigan and Jacob and Joseph Allam of Texas. Mary was predeceased by her loving husband in 1999 shortly after they moved to Texas where Mary lived for her last 20 years.

Mary’s life work was raising her family. She enjoyed homemaking, shopping, singing, painting and writing poetry. She was also very dedicated to her Catholic faith. She enjoyed taking walks and would often stop to admire the birds and smell the flowers.

Her interment will take place at 11am on May 2, 2020 at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.

YUNEK, GERTRUDE “TRUDY” AGNES

Gertrude “Trudy” Agnes Yunek (Zimmerman), aka Cookie, was born on February 11th, 1942 to Jacob and Rose Zimmerman. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.  She worked as a certified nurse’s aide in several nursing homes for over 30 years.  She was a faithful believer of Christ and was loved my many throughout the church.  Trudy was a sweet, kind, loving person who loved to spread joy to others.  Trudy spent most of her time helping her daughter raise her two grandchildren and then spent time helping her great grandchildren. Trudy had a passion for kids and to help her family.

Trudy went to rest on Saturday, April 25th, 2020. She is preceded in death by her husband Anthony Yunek, daughter Theresa Ann Williams, and mother and father Rose and Jacob Zimmerman.

Trudy is survived by her two granddaughters Rebecca (Duane) Van Hartesvelt and Deana Sayre, her two great grandchildren TinaRose Cannon and Mason Sayre, and her son Gary Williams.

The funeral service will be held at Resurrection Cemetery on Wednesday, April 29th, 2020 at 1:30pm.

Beloved husband of Virginia Clemens (nee Feldmann) for 60 years; loving father of Russell (Page) Clemens, Richard (Mary) Clemens and Roberta (John) Smith; cherished grandpa of Kaela (Ben), Ginnylyn (Adam), Adam, Alexandria, Bethany, Grace, Robert, and Hannah; great grandpa of Nathan and step-grandpa of Bryan and Steven. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, George and Josephine Clemens (nee Kircher) and loving sister caregiver Dorothy (Anton) Oberkirsch and his siblings; Kenneth, Harold, and Donald Clemens and Ruth Keating. Passed away of natural caused at age 97 on Tuesday April 28, 2020 at Alexian Brohters Lansdown Village nursing home.

Thaissa (nee Luczakowsky) was born in 1922 in Polish Ukraine and was trained as a dental hygienist in Vienna in the 194-‘s. She emigrated to Australia after WOrld War II and then to America in the 1960’s, where she earned her MSW in Social Work at St. Louis’s Washington University. She worked for the Missouri Department of Mental Health for over 20 years, until her retirement in 1988; since then she lived in South St. Louis , but occasionally travelled with friends to Russia, Ukraine, Egypt, Sicily, Spain and Brazil. By those who knew her, she will be remembered for her generous and caring spirit, her intelligence and her vivacious personality. Hers was a life truly well-lived.

Cruise, Jerry P., passed away peacefully on Monday, April 27, 2020.  He was born on August 2, 1945 and is preceded in death by his parents George and Lorraine Cruise.

Beloved husband of his one and only wife Sandra “Sandy” Cruise (nee Musgrove); dear father of Michael (Angeleque) Cruise and Stacey (Edwin) Palmer; cherished grandpa of Lucas, Brodey, Zach, Brett and Andrew; dear brother of Linda Cruise, Diane (Ron) Barrett and Ron (Cathy) Cruise; dear son-in-law, cousin, uncle, and friend to many.

Jerry attended Riverview Gardens High School (Class of 1963) and was a member of the Riverview Rams football team.  Jerry was a Corpsman with the US Navy and he served in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968 during the Tet Offensive. Jerry was an independent insurance broker and the owner of The Jerry P. Cruise Insurance Agency.  When the City of Maryland Heights was founded, he was appointed to the City Council Ward 3 and served for many years.  He also was a lifelong Cardinal Fan.

Service: Visitation at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, on Sunday, May 3, 4:00 to 8:00 pm. with all services concluding at Kutis. A celebration of Jerry’s life with full military honors will be held at a later date.

Memorials to The Festus Manor Nursing Home 627 Westwood Drive South, Festus, Missouri, 63028, would be appreciated.

Riepl, Juanita Mae  (nee Wendt) beloved wife of Carl Riepl for nearly 62 years, passed away 4//28//2020.  Juanita was preceded in death by her mother Juanita Mae Parker, step-father Ulis Parker, brother Philip Parker and sister Brenda Miller.  She is the mother of Kathy Lopez (Charlie), Marsha Arnold (Joe), and Karen Gibbons (Mike); Grandmother to Joshua (Robin) Wilson, Gus (Monica) and Luke Lopez, Daniel and Alicia Arnold, Nate and Trent Gibbons; Great-Grandmother to Merlin, Ivy and Lily Wilson, and Portland Lopez. A devoted member of John Calvin Presbyterian Church (JCPC) of Bridgeton, MO. for 55 years.  A graduate of Mehlville High School and Southeast Missouri State. Worked in the libraries at Mehlville and Pattonville schools.  She was a faithful, active volunteer,  mission worker, Girl Scout leader, and a kind and beautiful soul.  She cherished her husband, family, friends and faith.  Our sincere appreciation to the outstanding private duty caregivers and the loving staff of Parc Provence. Donations in her honor can be made to JCPC or the Alzheimer’s Assoc. Private services. Future Celebration of Life – To be determined.
