age 64 of St Louis, Missouri, was called home by
our Lord Jesus Christ to join the Saints on the 3rd of April, 2020 following a
brief illness. His wife, Kathy, was by his side. Ken was born in St. Louis,
Missouri on January 5, 1956 to Raymond & Ruth Tichacek. He leaves behind a
sister, Elizabeth Bilynskyj (Steve). Ken is predeceased by his parents, and a
brother, Allen. Uncle Ken will be forever remembered by his 4 nieces &
nephews.
On June 13, 1987, he was married to Kathy (Danielson) in St. Louis, Missouri.
Ken and Kathy would have celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary on June
13, 2020, calling St. Louis their home for their entire life together. Ken worked with his Dad from
age 18 at the Al Weinstock Company, transitioning the company to Tichacek Cutter & Drill
Service upon his Dad’s passing, and ran the business with Kathy for over 23 years until his
retirement in 2018.
Ken was an active member of Concord Baptist Church of St. Louis, MO and served his Lord and
his Church in faithfulness and love for 62 years. Ken had a special place in his heart for the
elderly and widowed and served them with much love and kindness. Among his many services,
the Bus Ministry, Concord Men’s Construction Ministry and the Fine Arts Ministry were very
important to Ken. He sang faithfully as a strong tenor in the Church Choir for many years,
praising the Lord with every song he sang.
Ken was a lifelong member of the Windsor Lake Rod & Gun Club in Horine, Mo. He spent many
hours enjoying the things he loved and the fellowship of friends and family. He also enjoyed
hunting and fishing with friends, with Kathy or alone with God.
Ken enjoyed capturing nature through his love of photography, listening to the music of
classical composers, and most of all taking walks and spending time with Kathy. He and Kathy
prayed together, lived together, loved together, laughed together and made lovely memories
whether working side by side or taking a vacation.
Ken was interred at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery (Old) in Saint Louis (Tichacek
section) on Tuesday, April 14, 2020.
A Celebration of Ken’s life is planned for a later date to be held at Concord Baptist Church

Ken and Kathy were faithful supporters and walked with Ryan’s Rappers every year.
Thank you to everyone for your prayers, love and friendship.
