Loving husband of Kathleen Vincenc (nee Anich). Beloved son of the late Michael and Catherine Vincenc. Dearest father of Kathryn (Joseph) Muich, Karen (Eugene) Walton, Barbara Kuehl and Thomas (Tamerah) Vincenc. Dear brother of the late Helene (the late Earl) Becker, the late Kay Fund, Betty (the late Harold) Boudreaux, Dr. Michael Vincenc and George Vincenc. Dear brother-in-law of the late Dorothy (the late John) Stipanovich, the late Rita (the late John) Siaus and the late Daniel (Nancy) Anich. Cherished grandfather of eight and great-grandfather of two. Dear uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend to many.
Frank was born on November 23, 1930 in St. Louis, Missouri. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from July 1949 to July 1956, with active duty encompassing 30 months (from July 1949 to July 1952) and the balance in reserve duty. He married the love of his life, Kathleen, on May 2, 1953. They shared almost 63 years together. Frank was a wonderful husband, father and provider who worked numerous jobs and long hours, most notably with Union Electric (Ameren). Hired in February 1955, he rose through the ranks and retired in July 1992, as a Service Test Supervisor in the Distribution Operations Department, after 37 years of employment.
He was blessed with almost 24 years of retirement, spending his time playing golf, traveling and enjoying his grandchildren and his family. He liked sports and was an avid bowler and golfer. He loyally supported local sports teams such as the baseball and football Cardinals, Blues hockey and Rams football, sharing season tickets for all of the above with his children and grandchildren. He especially loved his grandchildren, and was known for slipping many $20 bills to them over the years. Frank’s legacy to his family is his work ethic and organizational skills, his witty and dry sense of humor, and his advice to never take yourself too seriously and always make time for a good laugh. He will be missed.
Services: Visitation at St. Joseph Croatian Catholic Church (12th and Russell) on Monday, January 25, 2016, from 9 a.m. until Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Memorials to St. Joseph Croatian Catholic Church, appreciated in lieu of flowers. A service of KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL.
