Hook, Karen H.
(nee Heenan), 65. Fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church on Sunday June 25, 2017. At peace after a long but courageous fight with early onset dementia. Survived by her husband of nearly 45 years, William Hook, daughter Jaime Hook, son Aaron Hook, son in marriage Matthew Shipe, grandson Dylan Shipe, sisters Patricia (late Robert) Roeder and Denise (Greg) Lott, brother Richard (Judy) Heenan, brothers in marriage Robert (Margaret) Hook and Donald Hook, best friend T.J. Luzio, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, James and Estelle Heenan, brother James Heenan, and son William James.
She will be remembered for her love of family and friends, especially children and her pets; her compassion to the elderly she worked with for many years; her strong work ethic; and, her will to fight against an illness that took her from her family and friends entirely too soon. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Humane Society of Missouri or Alzheimer’s Association.
