Harris Jr., Paul Elmer
age 88, transitioned to spirit on Monday December 14, 2015. Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church at peace in his home with his family by his side.
Paul was cherished and treasured by all that knew him during his 88 years. He was born on July 14, 1927, in St. Louis, Mo. to Paul and Ida Harris. As a teenager Paul joined the United States Navy during WWII. He then returned to succeed a fulfilling career with the Federal Government. After the War Paul was fortunate to experience life and further his education, with his newlywed wife, in many parts of the country to include Paris France, where his passion was culture and art. An aspired artisan himself, Paul loved to oil paint throughout his entire life.
Paul was known as the patriarch of the Harris family.
Paul is survived by his wife, Deon Tyler Harris and their five children: Steve (Kay) Harris, Kay Nicely, Adria Brouillette, Paul (Kathy) Harris and Cara (Robert) Potocnjak; sixteen grandchildren and seventeen great- grandchildren and his brother Jim (Jody) Harris.
Services: A private funeral is scheduled at the Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Bonne Terre, MO. Memorials to the Alzheimer’s Assoc appreciated. KUTIS CITY CHAPEL.
